Apple has released its latest update - 10.5.4 - for OS X. This new security rollout brings with it a plethora of changes to various parts of the OS.
In its general changes the new patch now includes recently introduced security updates, resolves an issue which had cropped up in relation to saving and reopening Adobe Creative Suite 3 Files remotely, adds "additional" RAW support for several cameras and improves L2TP VPN client capability.
In its application changes the new patch now has fixes and adds improvement for iCal in relation to meeting requests, cancellation notices, delegation, and syncing with iPhone. It also resolves an issue that prevents deleting an iCal event without notifying the creator and fixes an issue in which events in all calendars affect availability.This has been fixed by offering a checkbox that now enables formation-only calendars to be transparent from free/busy lookups. It also resolves an issue which prevents delegated calendars from showing up as a separate window.
The patch also has a couple of bugfixes for its web browser Safari. It fixes a potential performance issue when loading secure web pages and resolves issues that may be encountered when accessing secure web pages with client certificates that reside on a smart card.
